India-
According to campaigners, a de-facto ban has been imposed by the security wing of the ruling Gorkha Janmukti Morcha party, which has been patrolling the promenades of the genteel hill station as a "morality police force".

"In our customs, we are an open society and holding hands is no problem, but kissing in public we do not entertain at all. When it happened, the elders said it was very embarrassing. Our boys had gone politely to ask them to stop. It's not done. But suddenly this boy, the husband, got very angry and retaliated. He was very rude and reacted violently," he said.
The incidents came amid growing concern about the role of the force, which has been patrolling highways and reprimanding teenagers smoking in public or loitering on the main square.
"They think it is spoiling the youth, that it's a bad example. Everyone is concerned about it. Darjeeling is synonymous with love and affection, and if this goes on we'll miss out in the long run," said Deep Gazmer, vice-president of the Darjeeling Press Guild.

Kissing in public may harm or offend someone, somewhere, so we should ban it. Maybe not on your own lawn, but once you are on public property we should be able to force you to act in a way the nannies approve of (Not to mention we need to ban any food that may be bad for you since what is bad for you is bad for us all).
We don't need religious fanatics here to run our lives like they do there we just tell those who worship money that what you do affects the money of others (ala, your choices cost me money on my health care premiums, etc) and then control that.
Everyone has a god they worship, for some it is green one that they keep in their pocket or purse.
