Is Yahoo run by wingnuts? |
|
Everytime I log into my Yahoo Mail there is news headline and snippet for an AP article. The headline is always sounds very anti-Obama administration. Articles tend to have bad news only that cast the president in the kind of light that fox news does. Has anyone else noticed this and is it time to switch to gmail?

It's Labor Day, an official holiday in the US, and Google ignored it. Usually the google logo graphic is changed to reflect a holiday.
On the first day of the Labor Day weekend, google featured a flying saucer abducting one of the "o"s from their logo. Maybe they were commemorating the export of jobs to the Andromeda Galaxy or something I don't know.

3. Google is just as bad. |
|
Prominent link right now:" Obama is Fast Losing White Voters' Support" - LA Times hit piece that rehashes every anti-Obama talking point. This is typical, but then, so are all of the bullshit articles.

12. I think you're wrong about Google... |
|
I live in the Silicon Valley, have plenty of friends who work at Google, have visited the campus, eaten in their cafeteria (which is free for employees and their guests). Trust me, Google is VERY blue.

13. The employees at Google may be blue, but the news stories the editors |
|
choose to highlight are frequently anti-Obama. That may be a reflection of all the anti-Obama press out there, but it is evident on the Google news page.

7. It is. I have searched via their engine and the "slant" was very prounounced. Not only |
|
were the site descriptions questionable but the omissions and hierarchy of the hits led me to the same conclusion. Gmail is creepy too, in a big brother way. I have not figured out a good alternative. If you find one, share it. Perhaps an email based on one's own own domain name?

10. The U.S. press is run by wingnuts. The news aggregation reflects that. |

Google and Yahoo post what they get. You thought we lived in a free country or something?

However, anecdotally, the polls on Yahoo seem slanted towards the right wing.
