Trio resigns from Republican Party (Montana - because party infiltrated by fake Republicans)

Trio resigns from Republican Party
by JOHN CRAMER - Ravalli Republic

Three chairpersons of the Ravalli County Republican Central Committee have resigned, saying “fake” Republicans have taken over the party at the local, state and federal levels.

Dan Cox, who was Central Committee chairman, stepped down Sunday. Mona Docteur and Jim Thayer, who were state committee chairs, resigned last week.

“The Republican Party is having trouble because people don’t trust them,” Cox said. “The whole point is to get real Republicans into the party. I’m still a Republican and I still think the party’s great, but it’s been infiltrated by fake Republicans. I don’t want to work within the structure of the current Central Committee.”

snip...
Cox and Docteur said a factor in their resignation was the Central Committee’s response to the controversial “No Mo Bro” sign displayed at last month’s Stevensville Creamery Picnic parade.

Cox, Docteur and Thayer asked Cathy Kulonis, a precinct committeewoman who displayed the sign, to resign because they considered it racist, offensive and embarrassing to the Republican Party.

Kulonis refused to resign, saying the sign wasn’t racist.

3. Well, I'm certainly glad to hear there are SOME Pubs who
are willing to speak up against the nut jobs! I truly hope there are many more who, so far, have opted to remain silent for now.

6. One thing for sure we shouldn't do
And that's announce it LOUDLY. Because that's what the Republicans would do, and because we're soooo much better than them, we shouldn't take political advantage of any of their missteps.

*Blink blink*

Nah, that just sounds stupid.

8. Yeah, we have to hold back for something really important
At any moment, the GOP might unleash Bushzilla, and then where would we be, if we used up all our political capital on something trivial, like universal health care?

10.  A ha!
This explains why I've (seriously) been thinking over and over of "Invasion of the Body Snatchers." Scared the hell out of me when I saw it as a kid, and I've had it on my mind recently, for reasons I could not explain.

This is what's happening everywhere in our America.

But will it be reported?

Naw.

11. These nuts should just get real and join the Constitution Party.
Honestly, we'd be much better off with an honest-to-goodness middle of the road Republican party like it was in the Eisenhower days. Such a split might help the Democrats return to their progressive roots instead of all this Blue Dog nonsense.

As for the crazy people currently in the Republican Party, the Constitution Party is much more in line with their belief system.

Please, right wingers reading DU, check out the Constitution Party platform and see what you think. This is your true party:

These Republicans make a laudable stand against another R's clear use of racism, but they're leaving the party because it's been taken over by hordes of RINOs, which the article helpfully explains are "moderates and liberals who are “Republicans In Name Only.”"

So by extension they think moderates and liberals are racists who are infiltrating and defaming the Republican Party? Oh my.
