For Baucus to offer ANY plan the same week as the Prez speaks is UNacceptable.

He had to hand something in, he handed something in. He's done. No one's taking it the least bit seriously, except here. The committee will mark up the draft, when changes will be made. The bill will be voted out to the floor, where it will be amended. There's another Senate version, the HELP version, with which it will be harmonized. At some point there's a single Senate bill that will go into conference committee with the House, where the legislation will be substantially re-written, and then the conference committee report goes back out to both Houses.

By then, Baucus' offering will be diluted to homeopathic concentrations.

Only the conference committee report is The Health Plan.
