President Obama, Cindy Sheehan, and the Media

How do members of DU feel about the fact that some claim the mainstream media did not report on the fact that Cindy Sheehan continued her protest over the Iraq and Afghanistan war during President Obama's vacation? I said claim because I did not see any media coverage of Cindy Sheehan, but I thought maybe I did not watch enough media coverage to claim that the media did not cover the issue. Antiwar.com seems to believe the media did not cover the story in that Justin Raimondo wrote an article about the issue. Raimondo's article was not a liberal media bashing piece; instead Raimondo bashes the fact that the media seems to just follows for the political leaders tell them to go.

If the media did fail to cover the story of Cindy sheehan protesting at Martha's Vineyard are members of DU upset about that fact. I am not trying to say the media is liberal. I do not think the media is liberal. I just wanted to get the opinions of members of DU. So what do you think?

I myself think that if the media did ignore Cindy Sheehan's protesting at Martha's Vineyard they made a mistake. Things like that allow right-wingers to claim there is a liberal media. The media needed to cover the Sheehan protest just so that the right could not claim the media was not covering the story because Barack Obama had been elected president.
