Damn, Beck is developing MY meme.
He is saying that he hates big business, we need to give love to the small business owner. I thought Obama should court them HARD. Now, Beck is trying to steal my thunder. Asswad. I need one of those red phones.

1. What's up with the CEO from Overstock.com complaining about "the evil government?"
I'm not purchasing squat from Overstock.com in the future because the CEO is being highlighted on Glenn Beck's TREASONOUS (the government is evil) show.

2. Byrne has been screaming about the nakaed shorting of stocks --
he's done quite an investigation, actually. Yes, he's a reep contributor (or WAS), but his whistleblowing on Wall Street crime is totally shut out of the MSM. Glennda probably likes him b/c the MSM is ignoring the story--as if it were a conspiracy theory.

deepcaptur blog is pretty eye opeing and sort of understandable to the layman. Worth checking otu, imo. It's like the Sibel story...no attention, huge ramifications.

4. But many of Byrne's complaints
really don't fit with Beck's ideology. Wouldn't stricter regulation of the stock market be welcome by Byrne? Whereas I don't see that fitting Beck's goals.

On second thought, since Beck's ultimate goal is to muddy the waters so bad that his followers don't have a freaking clue what the hell he's blathering about, just that it is all Obama's fault, I guess Byrne will serve his purpose just fine. It isn't like they're going to pay attention to the fact that Byrne has been on this since 2005, and Beck no doubt won't bother with that info.

5. Small-business owners tend to be even more conservative than big business.
Edited on Mon Sep-07-09 04:49 PM by burning rain
I suspect that's why Beck prefers small business. For instance, Wal-Mart has historically favored raising the minimum wage (as it would increase its customers' purchasing power), while small business fights every rise. The NFIB makes the Chamber of Commerce seem moderate by comparison. Always count on small business to oppose any sort of regulation or anything that might benefit employees. And small business owners tend to be especially greedy and tightfisted and abusive toward employees (not even a weak corporate policy to limit their despotism). Even Wal-Mart and McDonald's, as rotten as they are, treat their workers well enough relative to small business on balance. It is peculiar how many liberals get gooey and sentimental over small business--or anything small or local.
