I call for a national boycott of Mt. Vernon, Washington

The mayor of this town in Northern Washington State has declared September 26, 2009 as Glenn Beck day...I for one call for an economic boycott of this burg and also on the day of the event, when the ass hat himself is there...we should be out in force with a huge protest..Stop business as usual.

The cited reason for the award was that "Glen Beck is one on the 10 most successful people from the state of Washington"

WTF? By who's standards? This mealy mouthed, lying, racist piece of shit doesn't even come close.

Now one of the biggest clowns..might be a better award.

Well, Beck grew up in Mt. Vernon, WA, so that makes the mayor's actions marginally less heinous. And the article states that not everyone in town agrees. I kind of feel sorry for the Democrats and liberals in Mt Vernon, having to face that kind of national embarrassment.

Seriously, that Beck grew up in Mt. Vernon should not be celebrated by that city. I should think that the majority of the citizens of Mt. Vernon would be embarrassed and ashamed (and probably more that one wondering why oh why didn't I foresee what would become of young Mr. Beck and hit the accelerator rather than the brake when driving by his boyhood home)

While I'm at it, the Skagit Valley is one of the country's leading producers of tulips. If you really want to hit 'em where it hurts, don't buy tulips, and don't patronize the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival till the mayor's out of office.
