1. And Bush in 2004
He was here for a rally at a high school the day after Labor Day in 2004. Kids were required to attend.

2. "required to attend", "respect the office", "why do you hate America"
this was the rhetoric when BushCo was in office. Those who would try and opt-out of "required to attend" Bush political stage plays were labeled as un-patriotic, at best.

Their selective memory, protracted amnesia and lack of intellectual honesty are typical.

5. Typical, but no less maddening. It boggles the mind that they can take themselves even the teensiest
bit seriously, yet they are dead serious.

3. Kids in our district were required to attend a crap meet-up with a local sports figure and a Repuke
politician. It was announced the morning of and so no permission was obtained from parents to bus the kids to this bizarre event. It took most of the day. The basketball player did some fancy pageant walkin',um, I mean dribbling. Then he threw tee shirts and trinkets into the crowd of elementary students (yeah, imagine the behavior that elicited.) A number of school board members also showed up and acted like it was some educational experience, for which they, out of the blue, missed an entire day's scheduled lessons.

8. Do what--bus in kids for a McPalin Rally? Not sure what you're trying to say here.

6. Did you know they used high school children to blow up balloons for the Repub. convention?
The kids thought they were in for an interesting volunteer experience and the Republicans just used them for blowing up balloons. Too cheap to hire somebody. How could they justify taking kids out of school to blow up balloons?

Welcome to the 2008 Republican National Convention and our behind the scenes videos on GOPConvention2008.com. Today, in our sneak peek we take a look at what goes up and will certainly come down with great enthusiasm and excitement. It's a Convention tradition that watchers and attendees look forward to every four years: The thousands of red, white and blue balloons that will drop Thursday night at the conclusion of Senator's McCain's acceptance speech. Dozens of lucky students from Johnson Senior High School in St. Paul got to play a little hooky today as they helped inflate more than 200,000 balloons. Once inflated, the balloons were corralled into long nets and dropped gently to the Convention floor at the Xcel Energy Center. The nets were carried into position then hoisted to the ceiling where they will remain until Thursday evening. The entire process began Friday morning around 9AM and wasn't completed until late into the evening. This is a just one of the many finishing touches that will provide the perfect setting as we put Country First on Monday, September 1st.

7. Hmmmmmm. Blowing something....up. Sounds like perfect training for Rethuglicans! Interestingly,
no comments allowed on that video. Hmmmm. What happened to free speech?
