WATSONVILLE -- Bernie Feldman, a political advocate with a unique style of delivering his messages, died Tuesday. He was 88.

A Watsonville resident, Feldman was known for singing in public forums to express his concern about issues facing his community. He would often rewrite lyrics to popular songs and perform his renditions to express his passion for progressive politics.

... His son said there are no plans now for a service, though a memorial may be scheduled in a month. If people would like to honor his memory, they can sign a petition to send George Bush and Dick Cheney to prison, his son said.
