At my workplace, there are signs posted telling you to stay away if you have flu symptoms.

Since 50% of the employees are part-time, no sick leave, imagine how many will stay home if they even THINK they have flu symptoms.

2. They are saying the same at my work place, but I have been told to show up any way
I am the only guy who does what I do at my work. I ahve been told come in if you have an IV installed.

3. IMO work places should get sued for allowing sick people in the work place.

4. Gosh, if only there were some sort of guaranteed health care
You know, that would cover people no matter if they were employed or not. I mean, it wouldn't be anything fancy, but if you were sick and needed to see a doctor, you wouldn't have to choose between seeing a doctor and making your rent payment. Or, like, you could go for regular check-ups, and catch something in an early, easily treatable stage rather than having to wait until it became a full-blown, expensive medical emergency.

Pfft! What am I saying? Might as well argue about what color unicorns are.

5. Same here
About 80% of our staff is hourly with no sick days. At least they're not telling us we have to get a flu shot on our own dime (yet).

6. As much as I don't want to be around sick people
when so many don't have sick days, health care, or get made to feel guilty for missing work I can only get so upset at them. It's easy to say stay home but it's another to create a working environment where people don't have to worry about losing their jobs or taking a day off without pay when they can't afford to see a doctor.
