I just wanted to expand on my comment on this post about Obama opponents whining that people are calling them racist: http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=389x6492081

I don't think everyone who opposes Obama is a racist. I do think that most everyone who is a Birther is a racist. I'm sure that's self-evident to most people here but I'm not sure if everyone realizes the extent of the true motivation behind this obsession with Obama's birth. For your typical Birthers, this crusade doesn't merely give them an excuse to express their anger that a black man got elected. It also allows them to seethe with rage over the fact that he is the product of an interracial union. A substantial portion of white America is still deeply offended by "miscegenation" but it's not socially acceptable to admit it in public. The Birther movement allows it's race and sex-obsessed followers to talk about the circumstances of Obama's birth, which allows them to remind everyone that Barack's white mother FUCKED his black father. Pardon my French, but that's what's happening there.

To review: Birthers aren't just racists. They're fucking creepy racists.

is an on equal footing with them in terms of citizenship. we black folks aren't really americans, and we aren't really citizens. katrina was a-ok with them for that reason. and yes...they are fucking creepy racists.
