1. And that's the exact objective of the radical RW which is in charge of the GOP and MSM.

3. We're already there...
With thousands lined up to get free healthcare from doctors who would normally be doing their thing in third world countries.

I have a couple of cousins who insist all those people that lined up in LA were Mexicans and Canadians... here illegally... blah blah blah.

5. Yep- but it will be much more widespread and systemic

The already nation's got to adapt to skyrocketing petrol prices in the next years. It can't do so without dealing with the enormous drag the fragmented and dysfunctional places on individuals, businesses and the overall economy.

10. There's not much left holding us together right now...
Far too many are barely hanging on. When those gas prices skyrocket again, many will go down.

8. Seriously it could be much worse if you look at most 3rd world countries
most of us are still lucky compared to many in the world. We just prefer in general it seems to compare ourselves to those who seem better off - must make us feel better as victims.

9. There is a very, very thin veil of propriety...
Over society right now... it is far worse than many of us can imagine.

"Most of us" isn't enough when there are over 10,000 starving children in Los Angeles... and that's just those who have been counted.

4. Without major healthcare reform there will be no major energy reform,
no major climate change reform, no major infrastructure reform, etc. If we can't get it done on healthcare which easily can be defended as impacting all then none of these other more involved problems will be successfully addressed, imo. What will the world look like in ten years? You don't want to know.

6. That's what the rich wants. Endless cheap labor
What I like to call the $10 Hooker Solution.

I like to say that, especially to Conservatives. "THE REPUBLICAN PARTY WANTS YOUR DAUGHTER TO BE A WHORE!!!"

7. Large portions of it already do...
I've seen places in rural Missouri, rural Tennessee, East St. Louis, certain parts of Charleston S.C., and parts of New Orleans Louisiana, places in Miami come immediately to mind.
