Question about Gov. Jindal - for the birthers and for our enjoyment
I was just watching the intro on Rachel Maddow's Show and she replayed the clip of Gov. Jindal's reply to the President's first Congressional address. In that clip the Governor introduced himself as born to parents who immigrated to Louisana from a "land far away" when his mother was 4 months pregnant with the baby Governor.

So, birthers, knowing that they almost certainly all believe that life begins at conception, doesn't it reason (yeah, I know they don't understand reason) that his life began in a "land far away" and thus he is not a natural citizen of the US and is therefore not eligible to run for President.

Any discussion? I know it is all silly, but less silly and more logical than the birthers' criticism of the President's place of birth.

1. Um, I don't think he ever really had a chance at being their nominee.
It's that whole "brown" thing, they'd never get past it. And the whole 'Kenneth the Page' thing put the last nail in the coffin.

2. Yeah.. ever since the Palin nomination, and especially since the inauguration, the GOP has shown
it's "true colors" so to speak, and they've shown beyond a doubt that a Jindal or a Condi Rice will never be nominated by the GOP. They like to talk about these folks, or a crazy Alan Keyes type, to show how "not racist" they are (we all know LIBERALS are the REAL RACISTS :eyes:) but there's nothing serious about the talk.

The GOP has shown that it would rather embrace, literally, a raving loony like Glenn Beck (he's literally a raving loony) and go completely off the deep John Birther end, than give an elected black President even a modicum of respect.

5. It's quite a spectacle, isn't it?
Do you think they ever have moments of clarity of how vile, ridiculous and unpatriotic they're acting?

Today would be a good day for them to mull that over.

4. Trust me
The whacko, racist core of the Repuke party will never elect a guy named Piyush as president.

6. Yep, but your logic doesn't translate into theirs. In fact, they'll kill to protect the sanctity of
conception. Their logic travels along a mobius strip.
