19. It had to be approved by the seller.
There would be no way in hell that Palin's keepers would allow her to sup with Keith.

It was funny as hell, though, watching him trying to make an honest bid.

8. Here is the listing!
Forget about having dinner with Sarah Palin for $25,000 rather pay to NOT have dinner with her. Come to wonderful Milwaukee, WI and have dinner with a single mom, her three kids and enjoy the real AMERICAN experience. How you get to Milwaukee is up to you. Home cooked, middle class meal served hot off of middle class plates from the dollar store. Show America where our priorities are and hope that this auction makes more money than "Dinner with the Palins". All money will go to a scholarship fund for regular folks trying to better themselves through education.

10. How funny!
There are 5 other listings for dinner not with Sarah Palin!

She's still at zero bids. Some rich conserv-o-nut will take pity and rescue her from complete embarrassment... Pat Buchanan would be perfect - he has such a crush on her.

18. ewwwww. just ewwww. I"m a healthy heterosexual male and I'd have to be
bludgeoned into unconsciousness to even consider doing that with her, and of course, then I'd just stay in the coma out of embarrassment.

15. Pre-approved buyers only!
That's gutless! Even for $25,000 for charity, she won't open up the bidding to the public.

17. Gotta figure she is looking for a sugar daddy
Wonder if we could raise some $$ so Kathy Griffin can buy the dinner, and bring that young hottie she was seen with at an awards show, Kathy could invite some of her gay friends too. It'd be fun

20. The seller's other items
Edited on Wed Sep-09-09 10:08 AM by 90-percent
The seller, "ride2recoveryfcf", has a total of ten items, dinners with other right wing celebs and a Rob Lowe baseball shirt. He's got one bid for a Frank Luntz dinner and SEVEN bids for the baseball shirt! Everything else zero bids as of 11:00 AM Wednesday.

Pre-approved bidders only? I wonder how that works and it looks like Keith Olbermann has not been pre-approved yet! What's the hold up with Keith, there, Sarah?

23. Considering that the buyer also has to provide or pay for the dinner....
Edited on Wed Sep-09-09 10:24 AM by Mike Daniels
I think that may be a factor in the non-response. If I'm paying that much to have dinner with anyone (regardless of the charity) the prize better include a stipend to pay the cost of taking the free-loading quitter out for the meal.

I imagine some political or charity group will end up paying for it and then offer the deal (w/ lodging and travel included on their part) as a lottery/raffle fundraiser prize.
