"I suffer no illusions that this will be an easy process."
""I suffer no illusions that this will be an easy process. It will be hard. But I also know that nearly a century after Teddy Roosevelt first called for reform, the cost of our health care has weighed down our economy and the conscience of our nation long enough. So let there be no doubt: health care reform cannot wait, it must not wait, and it will not wait another year."
– President Barack Obama, February 24, 2009

Keep this thought in your minds today and ignore the hype from the MSM.

2. Color me cautiously optimistic on the jaded side
I'm a Progressive used to stomach twisting disappointment. Yet I believe anything is possible.

6. People think that the Dem party is some radical leftist movement
I see it more as a corporate party that is less evil then the GOP alternative.

4. I want him to say something like this...
of course Kennedy was talking about the moon, but it would be great to hear something like this:
"We choose to go to the moon. We choose to go to the moon in this decade and do the other things, not only because they are easy, but because they are hard, because that goal will serve to organize and measure the best of our energies and skills, because that challenge is one that we are willing to accept, one we are unwilling to postpone, and one which we intend to win, and the others, too. "

or something like this from Roosevelt:
"Never before in all our history have these forces been so united against one candidate as they stand today. They are unanimous in their hate for me, and I welcome their hatred. I should like to have it said of my first Administration that in it the forces of selfishness and of lust for power met their match. I should like to have it said of my second Administration that in it these forces met their master."

(audio with this that you'll want to turn off right away, fyi, if you are at work)
