What Obama has to do tonight.... |

Obama needs to go all in...he's got to define what he will accept....
He needs to start out by introducing Americans to the successes of other national health programs from around the world. Germany, Japan, France, Great Britain....explain there is no need to reinvent the wheel here.....
He's got to be sensitive to political realities, portray the public option in such a light that members of both parties can spin it to their constituency without fear of backlash....that is, expand upon the fact that public option does not necessarily infer a government run program but also allows for national non profit programs as well...I think he should mention trigger mechanisms but insist on the necessity of rigid implementations...
A huge task but not impossible....

I don't think most people understand the difference between countries like Canada and Great Britain,where the government controls everything and most other countries. where you still have private doctors and hospitals. All they here is the buzz word "government control", but that never gets defined. What the opponents mean by it, is any government involvement.

Why does an MRI in Japan cost about $100 when the same MRI in America can run $1500.....
