4. I believe that no matter how many pull out FOX will keep their golden monkey!
After all a billionaire's club owns them.

Quote from Why Fox News is an Industry Joke by Ron Kaufman:

http://www.turnoffyourtv.com/networks/foxnews/foxnews.html

"We paid $3 billion for these television stations. We will decide what the news is. The news is what we tell you it is!"
-- alleged comment by David Boylan, station manager for Fox Tampa Bay (WTVT Ch 13) to two reporters who are currently suing the network for firing them and censoring a story about the use of bovine growth hormone in Florida cows.....

Relying on the Fox News Channel as your only source of news is like using MAD Magazine as a legitimate source of news. The Fox News Channel's reporting style is so biased and skewed that trying to obtain any real information from a news report is quite challenging. Fox News is a joke because it provides info-tainment rather than reality-based news coverage. Fox News Channel is a "news channel" in name only. The network is what L.A. Times Editor John S. Carroll calls "pseudojournalism......

...........

They are not a News Station but a Propaganda Machine gone wild!

5. Carbonite Inc would probably laugh in your face
or at least behind your back when you ask them to stop advertising.

Don't get me wrong, COC has been VERY effective at stopping household names from advertising on Beck and should be congratulated.

But there are limits. Carbonite represents it and probably the situation with the majority of the remaining Beck sponsors.

Carbonite make a point of advertising on the loudest, angriest or the most abnoxious radio/tv shows, particularly if they have a large audience. Intelligence/stupidity be damned!

For years activists have been trying to get them to stop sponsoring Limbaugh with no success.

They double their revenue every couple of years and reportedlyhave an advertising budget of about 100 million dollars. Slightly less than Clorox. Pretty good considering they only started up a few years ago.

Their strategy is to play off both sides against the other and it works!

On the right, they sponsor Limbaugh, Hannity and Beck that I know of.

On the left, they sponsor Ed Schultz, Thom Hartmann, Randi Rhodes,Howard Stern(I know, that's stretching it),Malloy and MANY MANY other local market market that I can't remember.

Heck, half the time they can get the host to plug their product personally! The last i PERSONALLY heard was Rhodes yesterday afternoon.

Complain to them and they will probably chuckle to themselves that their marketing is working.
