Campaign Finance Case Argued before the Court this morning
Rebroadcast on C-Span at 11:30am today. From the C-Span site:

"C-SPAN To Air Special Session on Campaign Finance Case
Today

This morning, the Supreme Court examines the constitutional basis of campaign finance law when it re-hears Citizens United v. FEC. New Justice Sonia Sotomayor takes part in this special session being held before the official start of the new term. Listen to the case on C-SPAN.org following oral arguments."

This is an extremely important case, possibly the most important of our lifetimes.

1. This is one of the most troubling cases they've handled in a long time
If they screw this up fascism wins.

2. Fascism has already won
That's why incumbents are re-elected at an obscene rate (95% last I checked) and respond only to their corporate donors and lobbyists.

Government by the corporations, of the corporations, and for the corporations.

4. I feel the outcome is pre-determined
The extreme Right wing has control in the Extreme Court and this is and has been a goal fo theirs for years.

3. Bill Moyers had this on the other night with Floyd Abrams and Trevor Potter.
Floyd Abrams made me want to throw something at the TV. As soon as I heard about his connection with Mitch McConnell I knew that it would be sickening to watch. If this turns out the way that I expect it to, at least it will be official and out in the open; our politicians are bought by and controlled by corporations. That's already pretty obvious, but I just can't believe that this might happen. The politicians might as well just put their sponsors on themselves like a NASCAR competitor.
