Our local school disctrict recieved a call from a fake "parent" protesting the President's speech. |
|
Our local school district showed the speech to everyone.
I happened to encounter a member of the school board at a political rally last night. She told me that they had received a call from a local woman complaining that her son was going to be shown the speech. They checked the rolls and the woman does not have any children anywhere in our school district.
I'm not sure if it was part of some organized effort or some lone wingnut doing her "patriotic duty". They were able to call her back to tell her that they didn't appreciate her dishonesty, so she is real and does live in the district.
Anyone else know of any stories like that?

1. No, but it explains a lot. |
|
I don't know anyone personally who objected to the stay-in-school message, and from what I hear, most teachers and principals wanted to show the speech. I guess the teabaggers had run out of town hall meetings to attend, so they turned their energies to this.

2. This cretin needs to be exposed to her community and subjected to as much ridicule and |
|
harassment as possible. Letting these shits interject their religion and racism and unAmerican bullshit into public schools has to be stopped.

4. Yea, but it didn't seem like it would be appropriate to ask for the woman's name. |
|
If enough people were involved in checking the records and calling her back then it may come out.
It doesn't seem like she's very bright. You'd think you'd use a fake name and block your number if you were going to do something like that.

|
not sure it was for those grade levels.......but they did run a frontpage story saying they would be showing the speech and if you did not want you child to watch they would have to sign a form saying so.....but there was about a dozen parents and a few community leaders who were protesting the speech.....but our BOE stood their ground......even newt gingrich endorsed the speech.....and said no republican should keep their kids from watching it, because raygun, papa busch, President Clinton( I am not bias hehe) and * did the same thing....
