2. Where is this BS coming from. I saw a repuke on yesterday saying |
|
the public has spoken and they have voiced that no one wants a public option. They just say anything.

The vast majority of Americans hate Obama and democrats and the public option and clean water. Thats what the lemmings hear every day.

6. I saw Baucus just this morning saying |
|
and I'll paraphrase because I can't find a reference to it on the Google "It becomes more apparent to me every day that 'the public auction' cannot pass in the Senate".

5. They are using the cover of town howlers and the complicit media to pretend "the public has spoken" |

I do think the really high support numbers were soft but I suspect the majority either wants the option or don't really care but it is probably 60/40 and closer to 50/50. One thing is crystal clear there was never anything like 60-70% for single payer. I don't think much more than 60% would actually support any government program here (at least until passed), much less one that eliminates a private enterprise. As I suspected, as soon as the noise machine fired up a great many ran to the hills and shaking their fists at 'gobmint'.
Don't over do the faith in polls. Even when accurate, we can forget what a fickle people we are with a very brief attention span.
