Dear Mr President - they lost. And every idea they've had has been a failure |
|
for the past 30+ years.
That's why we voted for you - not them. So can this 'bipartisan' crap now and get us what close to 70% of the country has been supporting.

1. If Bush can push through a poorly thought war with a lie. Obama can push healthcare with the truth. |

3. I'm really not sure they lost. |
|
They have the media totally locked up.
They have crazies all over the country stirring up shit.
They have Dems trying to win their approval rather than making the most of House and Senate majorities.
They have Dems like the rep from Montana who act for all the world like pukes.
They reportedly have stay-behinds gumming up the civil service.
And despite the fact that their guy is no longer in the Oval Office, they have an 'opponent' in the White House who campaigned on change but who doesn't seem to want to change anything.
I'm completely serious: they didn't lose; they just let us think we won.

4. AMEN! You said it!! But watch out because people around here will accuse you |
|
of being naive. For them, we have to lie down and roll over, accepting "the-best-we-can-get" legislation because the Dems don't have the balls to stand up for what they believe, allowing the Repukes to speak for them.
I have this question for the president:
He stated that he would put his entire presidency on the line to get health care reform. If he's going to lose anyway, why not stand up for what is right rather than what's politically expedient?

Who says they don't. I think the majority of them are doing what they believe in.

8. Unfortunately some prominent people we've elected are still addicted to the Reagan Koolaid |
|
I thought the Age of Reagan ended this year, but I think I was wrong about that.
