NYT says president ‘won’t insist’ on public option

In advance copy of excerpts from President Barack Obama’s speech on healthcare to a joint session of Congress Wednesday, the White House included no quotations with any mention of a public health insurance option, according to copy reviewed by RAW STORY.

What’s more, the New York Times revealed Wednesday evening that President Barack Obama “will talk about the advantages of a public-insurance option in his nationally televised address to a joint session of Congress … but he will not insist on it.”
