Obama seemed more worried about competition, consumerism and profits.
Think about it. He explained quite a few times how our capitalistic society works.

I would like to know how anyone's health, good or bad, was fodder for corporations to make a buck on?

1. because in a society where everything is commodified,
everything is fodder for profit.

Everything.

And if not, then it's expendable.

2. Then we really need a crash course in nationhood.
Because a nation is NOT a corporation. A nation cannot fire its citizens.

The goal of a corporation is profit. Period.

The goal of a nation is the well-being of its citizens. Not SOME of its citizens. ALL of its citizens. Do these goals look the same to anyone?

If a corporation cannot guarantee the well-being of a nation's citizens, that corporation is a de facto enemy of the state. If a corporation puts profits ahead of the well-being of the citizens, that corporation is an enemy of the state because it is interfering with the goal of the nation.

And any corporation that declares a profit that debits the nation in any way, is an enemy of the state.

Yet we never ask any corporation how they are protecting the well-being of our citizens. Because that might interfere with their profits.

We have different goals. It is not up to us to conform to their goals. It is up to them to conform to ours.
