8. In fact, Ds have controlled both chambers of our General Assembly for over a decade,
with the exception of the 2003-2004 session, when the state House was evenly split between Rs and Ds and so negotiated a power-sharing agreement with co-speakers for the chamber and co-chairs for the committees
