Bravo, guys. Cause this is the most important thing that happened tonight.

Fine, mandates, Romney care, no big deal. A fucking asshole acting like an asshole, wow that's real news we should care about.

20. State your questions, then,
instead of sneering at what people are discussing.

Jesus, aren't you the sanctimonious and intolerant one?

Ask the questions. Go on...................

not the President. And the state of Congress and their ilk, can never be off the table as a subject of discussion.

6. Oh geez, lighten up already, there will be plenty of time to
talk about the important part of tonight. Sorry, it is just human nature to stop or slow down to gawk at a car crash~which for the GOP is a pretty apt metaphor, if I do say so myself.

Plenty of time to parse the better part of the evening.

7. Remember Obama's great acceptance speech after getting the nomination?
Remember the next day after McCain picked Palin that most of the threads here were Palin, Palin, Palin with far, far less attention given to a great speech than it deserved. DU is easily distracted by lesser events.

9. Don't worry. The parade has to end sooner or later. We're just being
bombarded by celebrations at the moment. I'm not sure why. I guess after all the fawning we'll actually be able to dissect his proposal and see it for the huge giveaway to private insurance it really is.

13. Some of us can walk and chew gum at the same time.
The President may have not gone far enough for you but tonight was about reframing the debate on heath reform and I think he did a good job of that.

14. No chance of shit like that being ignored on this board.
Multi-tasking is always a possibility as well.

There's plenty of time to trash repuke assholes and discuss the issues. It will blow over soon enough. It just happened, so naturally everyone is talking about it.

19. But do we really need DUer after DUer posting exactly the same threads?
Are they really incapable of posting to the already existing threads or do they actually believe they have something unique to say.

As someone who didn't see or hear the speech I come here to DU and there are far too many threads talking about Wilson and too few talking about Obama's speech and what he said. How about DU obsessing about the point of tonight instead because that would be a change?

23. No, NO!!!
The OP, the one I correctly identified as "Mother Superior," claimed s/he wanted "ANSWERS"!!!

See how meaningful that is?

So, where are the OP's questions?

I like your idea, tabasco, and I second that emotion.............

16. No acutally what happened tonight was... either a SWISS OR GERMAN MODEL
and there is no way in the US we can get single payer... that is the political sucky reality.

Yes it sucks, but this country will NEVER get single payer, or at least not as long as I am alive, or as long as it remains one country...

It sucks... yes, absolutely... but the Canadian model ain't coming to this country anytime soon. Yes it sucks... but at this point I have given up on that changing. Our RIGHT WING has too much power, and we really do not have an organized or radical left, no matter what the propaganda says.

Wait, the USSC will make the fascism official.

Did I depress you enough?

But if we get a solid German model, we will increase coverage and should be affordable, why IT IS.
