Wilson Quotes Cited On 'The Rude Pundit', Ladies And Gentlemen....
Edited on Thu Sep-10-09 11:38 AM by The Magistrate
A real sweet-heart, this one....

:
"That's offensive to me that they would take my heritage and make it into a Holocaust era type description." - South Carolina Representative Joe Wilson, back in November 1999, when he was still a state senator, regarding African Americans being upset that the Confederate flag was being flown over the statehouse.

"e have a dictator, Saddam Hussein, who has chemical and biological weapons, who is developing nuclear capabilities." - Wilson, now a U.S. Congressman, on CNN, September 28, 2002.

"Sean, as usual, you're absolutely correct. In fact my wife also wants to tell you how cute you are." - Wilson to Sean Hannity on Fox "news," May 7, 2002.

"With the death of Strom Thurmond, South Carolina has lost its greatest statesman of the 20th Century." - Wilson on June 27, 2003.

1. And somebody here had a quote where he was saying Thurmond's black daughter
was "unseemly" in publicly claiming Thurmond as her father.

4. Yes he is. He's somebody that we should really highlight as the face of the GOP.
Along with many others, of course. Americans might not wish to delve into the complexities of politics and specific bills but we can identify crude behavior.

I wish the Democratic Party would do an add that shows the guntoters at Presidential town halls, right-wing protestors with misspelled signs, the ugly behavior at local town halls, and this Joe Wilson outburst.

Then they can show our Democratic Reps and Senators and President Obama in contrast, acting like statesmen and women who are attempting to solve problems.

The contrast would be stark.

6. There should be more quotes like this out there. Let's help find them.
And, hope that South Carolinians will reject Joe Wilson as their representative at the next election.

8. His proud heritage...
...is fighting for the right of States to declare humans "property".

I guess it never occured to him that maybe that isn't a State Right to be fighting for...

9. Thanks, Rudester! Y'know I think this laddie may be just what the GOP is looking for...
...to be a running mate with Sarah Palin in 2012.

I'd give money to the exploration committee working on that ticket.

hopefully,
Bright
