Shuster - it was a forced apology
The leadership told him to apologize ...and Sanford...will he resign?

Should be good.

5. Why feel sorry for them?
They're the idiots who put them into office and they're getting their money's worth.

2. He made his point for all his little birther/racists friends in SC
Bet they're all high-fiving each other in the local watering holes today, using the N word so freely as they always do down there. Sorry, SC DU'rs, I know you're all not like that....just HIS constituents.

10. There was a diary at Daily Kos
Someone there said that, indeed, his conservative acquaintance was very happy about Wilson calling out the president. The Kos diarist then mentioned to his "pal" that Wilson's likely Democratic opponent for 2010 had raised over $75,000 in just a couple of hours since Wilson's little tantrum (and it's north of $100,000 now, probably headed for a quarter million). The acquaintance was very suddenly not quite so happy.

This is the language these nitwits understand. Every contribution to Wilson's opponent is a punch in the gut for them.

12. Double ouch
I imagine that kind of money can be pretty significant in a contest for a congressional seat in South Carolina. Somewhere, a Republican campaign manager is grinding his teeth.

3. Wilson = Bambi In The Headlights...
I had to laugh when I heard the reason he got so "impassioned" was that the rushpublicans didn't have an advanced copy of the speech and just "reacted". Do I hear a BULLSHIT? Now ya don't think a preview copy didn't go to Faux? Spare me. If anything, I believe his outburst was premeditated, but with a twist. Reminds me of the kids game called "moo"...you get everyone except for one person in on the joke...at the count of three everyone yells moo...then you say "let's do it again" and this time everyone stays quiet except for the fool not in on the joke. Wilson looks like a kid who got caught saying moo while everyone else was silent. As usual, his appolgy isn't about what he said, rather that he was caught.

:hi:

16. No Way...They're In Full Denial Mode
They've been lying about death panels and giving carte blanche health care to "illegals" for months...they're not about to get off what they think is a winning talking point. Remember, rushpublicans can never admit they are wrong...thus when they're caught in a lie, they just come up with another one.

7. He was hammering some puke from TX and asked him yes or no if Wilson's
comment was wrong, and the guy would not say YES. Skirted the issue and Shuster proceeded to destroy him.
