Republicans unswayed by Obama speech
President Obama on Thursday sought to build on what was hoped to be new momentum on health care reform generated by Wednesday night's address to Congress. But top Republicans say he botched the opportunity to build bipartisan consensus and offer specifics on his plan.

I'm so goddamn sick of hearing about 'bipartisan consensus'. Even when we were going out of our way, throwing single-payer under the bus BEFORE THE CONVERSATION EVEN FUCKING STARTED and backpedaling as hard as possible on all of our other stances just to build bipartisan consensus those bastards had already decided and even mailed their constituents that they were going to vote no NO MATTER WHAT. Now they want to 'take more time' because thats what its all about -- stalling until THEY CAN RETAKE CONGRESS (they hope). There is no 'consensus' here, there never has been and never will be! EVER!

To the bowels of Dante's Hell with these bastards, pass a bill that works FOR the people who elected you, Mr. President. Not a 'trigger', not 'bipartisan consensus', not disguised corporate welfare.
