Alinsky's Rules for Radicals vs The Conservative Movement's Rules for Conservatives
Conservatives have been yammering about "Alinsky's Rules for Radicals" for some time now.

Well, it all sounds like projection to me.

How many of these rules have you seen the right wingers play?

RULE 1: Democrats and liberals must not only be opposed, but they must be destroyed. Look at their constant attempts to tag Clinton and Obama with -gate style scandals. "Mustardgate", anyone?

RULE 2: Appeal to the lowest common denominators, play on fear and divisiveness of people.

RULE 3: Create and use labels that can be used as quick slurs to demonize foes, "liberal", "socialist", "traitor", etc.

RULE 4: If you repeat an obvious lie loud enough and often enough, then it will eventually be recognized as fact by a segment of the population.

RULE 5: Display a firearm, that should shut up any opposition to you. Nothing like the implied threat of force to show how much you love freedom, right?

RULE 6: Use religion. If someone disagrees with you, then that must mean that person is a godless atheist who clearly wants to punch baby Jesus in the face.

RULE 7: Everyone who is not with you is automatically an enemy (i.e. a liberal), that includes media and the universities.

RULE 8: Tell supporters that "liberal" institutions and organizations are not to be trusted, that you should not associate with them, watch them, or do anything with them. You've probably encountered people on the Internet or in real life who seem to only get their news from WorldNutDaily and/or Fox News.

RULE 9: You have no real alternative solutions to the solutions to problems that Democrats and liberals are also trying to solve, so create magical solutions that won't really solve anything, but it sounds like they will. Tort reform will supposedly solve our medical bill woes, drilling in ANWR will supposedly solve our energy problems, etc.

RULE 10: Pick a target, apply rules 2, 3 and 4, and no matter what it is (It could be PEPFAR or it could be health care reform) and it is guaranteed to bring out some opposition against it.
