Rep. Gohmert (R-Tyler) AGREES with Joe Wilson, said Obama lied!
I saw The Goomer Tumor, Louie Gohmert, on the local news. I believe it was Channel 9 KTRE.
He said first of all that in England they can heckle the prime minister. He then said that Joe Wilson was right, and that Obama lied in his speech!!

I think all those House Repukes were busy pissing in their diapers instead of listening.

:wtf:

Disgraceful.

:banghead:

1. What he failed to mention is that yelling isn't a tradition here. It's considered rude.
Funny how they mentioned the behaviors of foreigners when it suits them. If we were to cite British tradition, oh, the righteous indigination we'd hear!

I'm not even dignifying the claim that Obama lied with a comment.

5. Actually, calling a minister (especially the PM) a liar at question time is a very serious charge

in the Westminster system. If the US operated under it- not only would government be MUCH more effective, but easily half of the Republicans would lose their seats!

7. Lying on the floor of Congress!
It's a serious matter in countries using the Westminster system- it's a violation of standing orders.

The resulting political outcry can, and often does, result in that Minister being relieved of their position, and possibly suspended from the House.

12. I wasn't even touching the "liar" nonsense. Just the yelling.
I have no doubt the yelling "liar" on the floor in any similar situation would be considered a very serious charge.

I would hope so!!!! :o

4. They wan't to depend on England for their Parliamentary decorum...
but not have anything to do with their health care modality.

Idiots, they are. Funny.

14. Don't you know???????
Republicans are suppose to think that far ahead! They just shoot their mouths off. You expected this Republican clown to think about the NHS while applauding perceived "yelling" on the floor at the Prime Minister... even though that's not exactly what is happening... it's all so confusing when you're a Republican.

16. Let's propose a trade-off to the Rethugs:
the minute we all have universal health care like the British, they can behave to the President just like British MPs behave to the Prime Minister.
But that behavior would also apply to ALL future Presidents, not simply to those who are Democrats.

17. So, did any of the Republican Congress people read HR 3200? I'd bet that's a big, "No". Yet they
encouraged their loyal idiot followers to yell, "Read the bill" at town hall meetings with Democrats.
