A leader emerges
Barack Obama wasn't my first choice. I voted for Hillary in the primaries, but I fully supported Obama when he won the primary. As it turns out, I think Obama was the best choice. The man is a true leader. Finally, this nation has a leader who can lead! He can think on the run, is very intelligent, and well spoken. He has given America hope.....well, part of it. Unfortunately, there are some who refuse to cooperate because he is a democrat or because he is not a white Anglo-American male. When did it become honorable to fight for the destruction of America? That is exactly what the GOP is doing just because this great leader is not one of theirs. They can't except the fact that a democrat of African-American heritage may very well outperform their Reagan.

Look where we're at. We're in debt up to our neck because of the policies of GWB. The republicans left this nation in the worst shape since the Great Depression. We were on the verge of a complete collapse of our financial system when Obama spent his first night in the whitehouse. We had two armed conflicts going on in Iraq and Afghanistan. Can you imagine the enormity of facing that on your first day on the job? Obama did just that. He hit the road running, while still trying to put together a team of people to dig us out of the enormous hole Bush and Cheney had left us in!

Eight months later, and things are looking up. The recession seems to be easing up, money is starting to flow a little easier, and job losses are shrinking. We are working our way out of Iraq, finally facing our healthcare crisis, and republicans are playing games.....PLAYING FUCKING GAMES! I am amazed at what Obama has accomplished in the short time he has had.

We can rest assured knowing Obama is at the helm. He wants to represent everyone in America, but some are so smug or ignorant that they refuse to take the help, instead, fighting against their own interests to further their political ideology. Well, those people are the minority now....something they are having a hard time accepting. We endured it for eight years, and I pray they have to endure it for much longer! At least until this great leader can repair the damage and set us on the right track....like Clinton did in the nineties. Then, I'm sure the republicans will be more than happy to step in and take over when things are rosy again so they can resume raping the American people.

Will republicans ever accept the fact that a democrat, much less a man of color, may be the greatest president ever to grace the whitehouse? No. So why in the hell should Obama care what they think? It's simple....he's a leader....a leader of all Americans, not just those in his political party, unlike the previous administration, who we know politiczed every department in government.

For the younger folks here, enjoy this run, because it will end, and we will once again be thrust into the grasps of the republican party. If and when that happens, I hope they can come up with their own Obama.... a leader... a leader who cares about all Americans.
