4. It's nice to think that we were united at that time.

But what I saw was my liberal friends getting on the patriot horse. Getting caught up in rhetoric and the stage managing that happened in the aftermath. Most of them came to their senses months and years later, but the damage had been done.

I didn't cry on 9/11, nor did I get angry. I knew that it would ultimately be used. Unwinnable wars, the patriot act fiasco, the continued militarization of police and the rise of armed mercenaries in our borders: I have been paid back with intrest.
