14. I usually don't appreciate hearing what the idiots on FOX are reporting and how they're phrasing it- |
|
but in this instance, it's damned funny.

5. Another Bush administration lie |
|
MSNBC showing live coverage from 9/11/2001 - Bush had not even arrived at the school until 9:30, well after the second plane had hit the WTC. Maybe he was being told about the one hitting the Pentagon (about 9:45) or about the collapse of the first tower (9:58), but it was NOT the second plane strike.

6. Yeah - like "OK now it has happened |
|
just like Cheney told me it would. Now think hard George, what did Dick tell me to do next? Oh yeah, just keep on doing what I'm really good at - being a total dumbass and he'd take care of everything."

9. What are the possibilities that Bush knew to expect 1 plane, but was |
|
shocked to learn there was a second plane? The realization that they didn't know the full scope of the terrorist plans would explain the need to move Bush from hiding place to hiding place all day. I remember the US congress gathering on the Capitol steps that night, when did Bush re-emerge?

Back in 2000 in an argument with my GOP brother, I told him that my biggest fear was that unlike Al Gore, W didn't have the gravitas or the life experiences to face a national or international crisis in our country.
The words I said back then were: "Bush as a president will fail us as a nation in a time of crisis"
Unfortunately, I was proven correct.

18. Isn't that just the very look of leadership, in that photo? |
|
Springing into action once he has learned his country was attacked.
Look at those eyes, look at the expression around the mouth. That's a person who knows something all right, even if it's just that the real people in power are handling what is happening. God, that photo brings the bile of 8 years back up into my throat.

...as he struggled to just sit in one place like the plan required. No doubt 'They did it! I get to be a dictator!', 'Don't worry, Dick's got it dicked', and 'I gotta pee' ran thru his head like a mantra.
He was thinking all right, but not great thoughts.
