Project 2,996 - Honoring the fallen of 9/11

Project 2,996 began in 2006 to pay tribute to the thousands of men and women who died in the 9/11 attack by posting remembrances of each individual to put a face on each person instead of seeing them as a large group of people.

1. I would be able to support that project except for one thing.
The bloggers who have chosen to remember one of the people who died freely inject their own political views into their tributes...at least some of them do.

I looked at the tribute written for the person whose bracelet I wear. The blogger who chose to memorialize her is a right-wing A-hole. His tribute included this line: "____ died for the very thing B. Hussein Obama is trying to destroy, capitalism."

To put it politely, fuck him. That is not what I call a fitting memorial to the dead.
