So did Obama talk about the cost of prescription drugs and big Pharma
or not?

I listened to most, not all, of the speech, and of course have read much of the commentary afterwards and I don't recall hearing anything about curbing drug costs. Did I just miss it?

1. The rumored back room deal with big pharma is no longer a rumor
Welcome to another corporate welfare system at our expense.

2. I'm currently paying about $125 a month for my dog's medicine
he needs thyroid and calcium supplements. One bottle of the calcium supplement can run over $100 and it lasts less than a month. His thyroid pills are quite reasonable, under $20 for a month's supply.

I do not understand why the Calcitrial (sp) is so expensive.

3. I think he said something about having them at the table
praising that insurance companies and pharma were "still at the table" and not fighting against reform. That's the only thing I heard in the speech.

I'm looking for a transcript.

4. he was talking about insurance reform not health care reform :(
unfortunately that's all anyone (in DC) is talking about. It may result in some health care changes but health care is not the focus.
