Hours after his former fiancee was found shot to death in Lexington, former gubernatorial candidate Steve Nunn has been found shot in Barren County, according to Jay Blanton, spokesman for Gov. Steve Beshear.
Amanda Ross was found Friday morning in the parking lot of Opera House Square Town Homes at 541 West Short Street. Fayette County Coroner Gary Ginn confirmed that Ross died of a gunshot wound. She was pronounced dead at 7:09 a.m. at University of Kentucky Hospital.
Nunn and Ross had a history of domestic conflict. In March, a Fayette County judge ordered former gubernatorial candidate Steve Nunn to have no contact with Ross, his former fiancée, for one year because of a domestic violence incident in February.

------

Nunn was a Republican candidate for governor, but lost to Ernie Fletcher in the primaries. He disliked Governor Fletcher R-Ky so much he voted for Beshear in the general election.

Democrat Brashear appointed him in an effort to make good on his promise to be bipartisan.

1. Good news, bad news. The bad is that this will be hung around Brashear's neck by the
pukes.

4. Beshear was wrong when he tried to be inclusive.

7. Exactly How Will This Be Steve Beshear's Fault?
I live in Lexington and Amanda Ross was a very close friend of my best friend. This is a tragedy that unfortunately is played out everyday around the country; domestic violence is not politically motivated. Steve Nunn, if guilty, did not do this because the current Governor decided to play nice and be inclusive.

A bright, vibrant young woman is dead, possibly because she became involved with a violent, older man who didn't want to give her up.

That is the bad...

3. She seemed like a good gal. She shouldn't have been treated that way.

8. I thought Nunn The Nutt was dead too, but
He is alive and talking.

Some say he is shot, others are saying he cut his wrists.
