Rep Lynn Jenkins' staffer hung up on my friend...
He called Brownback, Roberts and Jenkins to voice his support for the public option. Yeah, I know, its like pissing into the wind, but you have to try! Anyways, he asked the staffer at each office if they would support the President and if not, why not. HE said Brownback and Roberts had very similar prepared replies... "We support health care reform, we just don't agree with the public option. yada yada yada."

At Jenkins' office the staffer was apparently unprepared for the direct question and she sputtered something incoherent about public option. My friend pursued, asking for clarification, and wound up briefly explaining his monumental hassle with the insurance companies in his recent bout and recovery from cancer. He said the staffer literally stuttered and stammered for three seconds and then hung up on him.

He was pissed and called right back. The same staffer answered the phone and he asked "Did you just hang up on me?" She said they were "accidentally" disconnected. He kept his cool, made his point and left it at that. I think I might have unloaded.

I'm glad Lynn Jenkins beat that a-hole Jim Ryun in the primaries, but she is a real piece of crap. And apparently so are her lackeys.

1. Have your friend call one of those "On your side" reporters
The ones that do the investigation for people who have been duped or have trouble with someone.

Let them contact the representatives office and tell them you couldn't get through. That makes it public if they put it on the air.

2. I have never tried pissing in the wind.
But if you say I gotta try...I gotta try.

Full report later.

3.  Maybe they were accidentally disconnected. It happens.
Your header doesn't seem to recognize that fact.

4. lol... yeah... those 'accidental disconnects' seem to be disproportionally
more frequent when calling Blue Cross Dems / DINOs.

Funny how that happens, huh?
