In thinking back, gas stayed pretty stable over the summer, too.

Did that ever happen with George?

If you mean expensive throughout the summer, yep.

Oil is 50% of its 2008 high, gas is about 70% of its 2008 high.

Were still getting screwed.

2. I remember much higher prices with George, or is my memory totally gone?
Remember how it jumped around before every holiday and during the summers? The prices were much higher, weren't they?

5. Yep
Here in eastern Washington the gas prices when up to $3.12 where I live, the highest all year also. I do expect to see it go down, but not for a few weeks, and then not near as fast going down as it did going up! Diesel has been down lower than gas most of the year, and it was up over $3.00 for Labor day. Lots of big motor homes coming over from the coast use diesel!

8. Really. Our gas is at $2.32, down from $2.36 last week.
We haven't been that high for a long time. Maybe you have more state taxes?

6. Not that I remember. You are very observant.
I didn't even notice this time around, but I do remember how gas prices would go up, along with the "Terra Alert". I don't miss that at all.
