Liberal Media My Fat Hairy @$$!
Edited on Fri Sep-11-09 07:53 PM by WeDidIt

Over the weekend of February 15 and 16, 2003, somewhere between 8 million and 30 million people portested a war that had not even started yet, but was only in the threatening stages. Millions protested in multiple cities across the United States in the largest global protest in world history.

The United States media barely noted the event had happened.

Tomorrow, perhaps thousands, maybe tens of thousands, but certainly not hundreds of thousands will descend on D.C. for the astroturf protest that has been promoted by right wing media for months.

It will be wall to wall coverage on every news station and news program. There will be a Foxgasm of epic proportions, giving the morons who are protesting against their own best interests more coverage than the largest anti-war protest in the history of mankind.

And these fucked up assholes in the media will play this shit for the next two weeks, saying it has "changed the game in the health care debate".

As my subject line reads, Liberal media my fat hairy ass.

I didn't see any media for this one. Could be wrong, though......

In 2003, the Corporate Media ignored the biggest collective war protests in the entire world since the dawn of recorded history. Americans are now being told what to think by American Corporate Pravda. Our democracy cannot function properly without an informed populous. Our current populous is informed with CORPORATE BULLSHIT.

Suggestions, please.

PS - in January 2003 I went down to DC for an InternationalAnswer protest. First time in my life. Froze my ass off, but I was trying to do something.

3. You have it right ...
I remember the anti war demonstration, and I have pictures and video clips which show that it was larger than anticipated before hand. However I had to get them from the internet. From sites maintained by groups like Code Pink and other peace groups. I had to read about this and other demonstrations in newspapers from other countries which maintained a presence on the internet, because the media outlets here did not show squat.

I'm sure it will be the same story tomorrow. The more things change the more they stay the same. I wouldn't offer up my ass for the Freepers to kiss though. You might get a terrible disease.

Regardless of the intent, please go easy on the imagery for goodness sake. Otherwise, good posting.
