So tomorrow there is a military training exercise in a residential neighborhood in Rochester, NY

...It's a military exercise by the 401st civil affairs battalion -- the army reserve unit based in Webster. Chinook and Black Hawk helicopters are going to fly over the city and into Greece and drop the soldiers at the town hall grounds. After that the soldiers will drive around the town in their army humvees.

Anyone have first-hand experience with observing these training exercises? I think that I may head down early in the morning and observe with my camera...

2. That's sort of a rub here locally actually...

I consider myself fairly up to date on current events, and this is the first that I am hearing about it. They say that it's been widely advertised this week, but I have yet to hear a peep about this. A comment or two left on the local NBC affiliates website also leads me to believe that it was not as widely advertised as they lead on...

The military has to do some training in urban environments; unfortunately the only urban environments around here have people in them.
