What's wrong with this picture. The armed and dangerous wackos are considered acceptable by the police; whereas, anti-war demonstrators get the shit kicked out of them (tazed).

My bets, today you will not see the police shoving or harassing the Baggers.

(Then on the other hand, if only a few thousand show up, it would be so pathetic that abusing them would create a story.)

1. baggers have also gotten WAY more media coverage than antiwar demos ever did
many, many major antiwar demos were barely or even not mentioned at all--they have been minimized since the 80s.

There's not going to be that many of them.

And I was at a few anti-war protests in DC. The only one the cops had the full riot gear on was for the first one I went to which was just a day or so after Wellstone was killed in the plane crash.

I was also there at the inauguration. There were so many people there the police were really powerless. "This crush of people is knocking down this fence to prevent being crushed from the thousands of people pushing behind. OK. I think I'll climb this tree."

5. I don't either...
I've been to well over half-a-dozen demonstrations in D.C. and surrounding metro areas over last several years. The only folks that I saw physically harassed by the police were the usual rabble rouser suspects: i.e. the Black Bloc kids, the anarchists etc. who were carrying out their typical destructive patterns which warranted police action; in my opinion.

6. I don't either.
I was there for the January '07 protest and I don't remember seeing any law enforcement - only a couple of hundred thousand peaceful demonstrators and a handful of pro-war idiots (who have no doubt morphed into baggers) near the Capital. I also don't remember wall-to-wall press coverage.

7. I remember being called unpatriotic and told to shut up for speaking against the illegal invasion
of Iraq, but at no time did I get the sh*t kicked out of me.

But I do agree that teabaggers have been treated with far more kindness than the anti-war protesters.

9. The biggest problem I see is the MSM will cover them from beginning to end,
but assemble thousands of people in favor of health care reform and they're disappeared.

11. let me say it plainly: You're just making shit up. I find that contemptible.
There was no police brutality, no kidking the shit out of demonstrators in D.C. and no tasering.
