a cross post for gm..they did me right
posted this in the lounge but thought it was worthy of posting here.

My wifes 2007 impala has a shot rack and pinion..like $700 to fix

She called G.M. this morning and even though it isn't under warranty they agreed to fix it free of charge and give her a rental for a week because..their words *it just shouldn't have went out that fast and we have to make this right*

Cudos to G.M. for doing the right thing

1. Nice.
While, in this instance, they didn't do it right the first time, at least they are showing some customer service qualities.

Good to hear.

2. Good for them
A 2007 car is no longer under warranty?

What's the deal - lot of miles on it?

3. it's not powertrain
non powertrain isn't under warranty anymore on that car.A 2007 that was sold august 2006 so no longer under the 36 month warranty.

Wont argue with them..they did me right

Me last ten or so cars were all G.M. and they do me right so I'm loyal.

Wife has to go to Baltimore for training next week so I am keeping the rental and she is taking my 2005 Grand Am with 100,000 plus on it.I have no doubt it will get her there with zero issues

Love me some G.M. cars

4. Good for you
when the heater core went out on my 1982 Pontiac Phoenix after only a year and a half, I simply got a "tough shit" letter.

Let's just say that it influenced my attitude towards buying their products.
