WOW, I just spent a week in the land of "Free Range Liberals"!
Seattle, that is.
It would have been nice if the circumstances had been better. Had to take my GF to the west side of Washington for surgery. Advanced surgical expertise is not available in the Tri-Cities area and most doctors refer patients to surgeons in Seattle.

Living here in one of the reddest areas of the state sometimes is like being a zoo exhibit..."Son, see that fellow over there with that old fashioned hat and them birkenstock sandals? That there is a Liberal. He's trying to fool us by driving that Honda thing they call a pickup but it ain't no real pickup." I mean this place is really RED, I believe our county went 30% Obama. Using a liberal bumper sticker is an automatic threat to your paint job, be very careful where you park.

Being in Seattle for a week was a pleasure, sunny and no rain, just some drizzle one morning. I think I saw only one confederate flag in the rear window of a pickup. It may sound weird, but I feel the difference as I move around and interact with people.

:bounce:

2. Wow I'm so glad I didn't take a job in the WA Tri-Cities.
Oh wait a minute, I live in a TX suburb that's possibly even more red than that, and in greater numbers!

3. In Justice Brandeis'
vast 'laboratory of Democracy', there are going to be a few BSL-4 containment labs.
