1. I have a few who may have been there in spirit.
Beyond that I have no idea. My RW fundie-inclined family members and I have agreed not to talk politics, and I rarely if ever see them. Since most of them are now like me on Social Security and Medicare I hope they've got enough of the family intelligence to know how important those programs are.

Do you have family members at the KKK rally? I take it that's the one storming the Capitol today...

3. Oh, I'm sorry to hear that!
I was in a bookstore with an acquaintance recently. She pointed out Beck's book and remarked maybe she oughta buy it. I rolled my eyes and shook my head and she said, "Well, gosh, he makes a lot of sense." I'd have given her more credit than that, but at least I now know what topics to avoid in our brief future contacts! Might be a bit harder with your mother-in-law, though. Best wishes to you!

it's ok..She moved back to Kentucky about a month ago so now I'll only see her once a year..I love my MIL but her views are way out there.

I certainly have a few who are of that sentiment, and a few that are even worse.

Family gatherings are, I'll just say, spirited debate wise...

We go at it four hours on end.
