My friend from Sweden emailed me earlier re: coverage of the teabag march on Swedish news....
..... He said the newscasters were visibly laughing at the marchers and what they were marching for.

This country has become an international joke.

9. From my time abroad, people in other countries have a pretty good ability to differentiate between
the freeps and Democrats/Liberals/Progressives. Thankfully.

28. agreed. Although they wonder about the size of
the flat earthers, the creationists, and the religious reich who seemed to control our country recently.

In a great Scottish pub, I once offered to trade one George Bush for the Scotsman's Tony Blair. After he quit laughing, picked himself off the floor, drank my pint of ale, he wiped the tears off his face and said, "Bloody hell, mate, that's simply cruel and unusual punishment."

20. Yes, if one of our video savvy DUers could put it up on YouTube with
subtitles in English, we could send it all over the place until KO and Rachel pick it up on their show too.

17. Liberals like us exist all over the world.
Conservative Republicans only exist in America. And foreigners look at Republicans like they are some distorted, ant-brained trolls (which they are).

23. I wonder if the people in Sweden have been exposed to Mega Churches,
the Creationist Museum, movies like Jesus Camp, and the ridiculous festive nature of American political conventions with the balloons, rock music, party hats, buttons, and obviously drunk conventioneers.

crazy a-holes to certain states to live in and let them be there own country. I'm so tired of putting up with them. I sick at what they've done to our country. I'm sick of their backwardness. And I most sick of their willful ignorance.

Let them unite and secede from the Union.

I think I'll start that movement.

26. After seeing your subject heading, I knew your message was
going to say something about Americans being considered the village idiots in the world. To understand what the insurance industry and the pharmaceutical industry has done in this country to our medical schools, our legislators, and our citizens, is to understand the psychology of brain washing. These masters of perception have some thinking that to have access to quality affordable medical care is somehow for the weak or any new idea of spin they choose to create.....
