We Need To Increase Funding For Mathematics In Public Schools! |
|
Edited on Sun Sep-13-09 11:38 AM by WeDidIt
Yesterday, a serious crisis in educational standards was revealed.
When 60,000 to 70,000 people get together and decide there are actually 2,000,000 people attending, we have a serious crisis in the teaching and fundamentals of mathematics in this nation.
Is it any wonder the rest of the world is starting to exceed any achievements in science and engineering when a large segment of our population is incapable of performing basic counting????
This is a serious crisis in our land. Let's not let another generation slip away into an inability to comprehend basic mathematical functions.
Support additional funding for the teaching of mathematics in all levels of our public schools, and let's increase the standards required in teh field of mathematics to allow the achievement of a high school diploma.
To compete in the world, we must fix this problem.
Thank you.
