CONSERVATIVES 2009: All Lies and Fantasy All the Time

The Right in this country have given up the quaintly outdated notion of spinning information in their favor, and are now simply lying about everything all the time. What is scary is how well it works. By basing claims in complete fantasy you bypass any chance of being proven wrong, because facts need something to grab onto. In a world where any "controversial" notion can get air time, even if there isn't a shred of truth to it, this "All Lies, All the Time" tactic seems to be proving quite effective.

I worry that people are simply losing touch with reality. The tea-baggers whine about their rights being taken away in droves, yet no one asks them to name one of these rights they have lost since Obama has been in office. Joe Wilson calls the President of the United States a liar during a speech, yet no one asks him to back up that claim.

While I still believe that ultimately the Right is shooting itself in the foot with its shameless behavior, how much damage will they do in the meantime? They apparently have succeeded in gutting Health Care Reform.
