1. It will bring more Democratic but fewer progressive victories. |
|
Hey wasn't that tried already, circa 1992?

2. It's been a recurring theme. If Senate Democrats get their way, |
|
I was wondering if anyone thought it would benefit the party. I don't think so in this case, especially since killing off progressive legislation doesn't make people on the right give up Republican ideals. Even now while Republicans make fools of themselves, it won't produce what they are seeking IMO.

3. The big shift in fundraising in general |
|
Is away from the part of the curve where funding is larger gifts from fewer sources and toward the part of the curve where funding is smaller gifts from more sources. This is a good thing and we need to keep moving in this direction. It gives us power, legitimacy and freedom.

5. The democrats are blowing it. They could own the political future for decades |

I guess I don't agree with your premise. Progressive caucus is working hard, apparently they are having some impact and are on board with Obama on healthcare after the speech. 7. Democrats never fail to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory though I see their conundrum |
|
If they crap on corporate America too much, they will be subjected to ratfucking the likes of which would make Richard Nixon blush.
Witness the take down of Howard Dean when he was the front runner in the polls. Did they do it based on his personal life or even god forbid ISSUES? No.
They did the stupid scream video over and over.
That's better than a bullet to the head, but the message is the same. If you cross a certain line, and don't kiss our ring with sufficient passion, you're done.
