As much as anything, I hate the teabaggers for their COMPLETE hypocrisy. To wit: |
|
*** They claim to be Christians, yet they don't give a rat's ass about the "least of their brothers" (helping those who are struggling in society). Therefore, according to the Bible, they don't give a rat's ass about Jesus (since he said if you don't help a brother, you're turning your back on Him).
*** They claim to be Christians, and yet they carry signs saying, "Bury Obamacare with Kennedy." 'Nuff said.
*** They carry signs saying "Keep your hands off my body," yet want to stick their noses into people's private reproductive decisions.
*** They rant about the government staying out of end-of-life decisions, yet Terry Schiavo became their cause celebre.
*** They scream and yell about their money being spent by the government on things they don't approve of, and yet most of them stood up for the Iraq War. Again, 'nuff said.
And the list goes on ...

"And men thunder on the drums of insanity, and their dead fall around them, the young dead, and they call those dead heroes. They are not. They are sacrifices to Molloch. And always they were and always they will be."

4. They are oblivious to their own hypocrisy, |
|
because they are just not capable of rational thought.
They don't know or care what Jesus really said just as they don't do any independent research on political issues. It is so much easier to rely on others to tell them what to think.
Stupid people being manipulated by moneyed interests.

5. Their Christianity is not the kind that believes in following the teachings of Christ. |
|
It's the one that believes in maintaining your own "personal relationship with Jesus". It's a completely narcisistic interpretation that focuses entirely on one's self and one's feelings of closeness with an imaginary friend and with others who share the same imaginary friend. It has absolutely nothing to do with how you treat anyone beyond a small circle of like minded people. They believe everyone else is going to Hell anyway.

|
No wonder they have been so easily led astray by the false gods of the right-wing media!
