3. A pathetic, disgusting, hateful state of mind.
No thanks, I'll vacation elsewhere. (And I thought Oklahoma was bad. All of these people could be from here, they'd fit in just great with the right wing idiotic bigots we have here.) :puke:

4. Enough with the state bashing!
This Texan stands in solidarity with my fellow citizens in the Palmetto State.

9. Frankly, I think calls to boycott states like South Carolina
and even Texas make perfect sense. It's not bashing. It's simply refusing to spend our dollars in states which, as a whole, don't support progressivism. That's not to say that there aren't wonderful, progressive people in those states. It's simply a way of denying the official view of the state our financial support.

We all make choices about how we spend our money. My choice is to deny Texas and South Carolina, among other states, any of my money.

If you live in one of those states, then working toward bringing them into the 21st century is the answer.

11. I did not call you anything at all.
I specifically said that there are many fine, progressive people in those states.

However, I give you Sanford and Wilson from SC, and the Bushes, along with Tom Delay and others from Texas.

I choose to support states that produce progressive leaders and have progressive policies. That says nothing about you and your politics, wherever you live. It speaks only to the official products of those states.

You're welcome to insult me however you choose. That will not change my decision not to spend any money in states with reactionary leadership and those who send morons to Congress. Calling me names is counter-productive.

If you identify yourself as being proud of your state, that's your business. I make my own decisions.
